How does the immune system work?
The immune system is made up of various organs, cells and proteins. It plays a vital role in preventing you from becoming ill by protecting you from harmful substances, germs and cell changes.
If your immune system is working as it should you won’t notice it's there, however, if it is not functioning properly this is when you may be susceptible to becoming ill.

Building up your immune system implies it working above what is ‘normal’ and having the ability to better fight and protect against all germs, disease or infection, which is not possible.
What weakens the immune system?
There are many lifestyle factors that can weaken the immune system such as smoking and excessive drinking. Other factors that can have a negative impact are having an unhealthy diet and not maintaining a healthy weight, as well as not getting enough sleep or regular exercise.

If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking any medications or under medical supervision, please consult a doctor or a healthcare professional before use.
Orally, elderberry fruit extracts have been well-tolerated with no adverse effects reported in clinical trials of adults and children. However we are aware that all bodies react differently, so we cannot guarantee side effects won’t occur.
